ABOUT

Master Sergeant Derek F. Miles is a NCOIC of training assigned to Kadena AFB 19 OSS. He is 34 years old. Sergeant Miles was born in Buffalo, NY on 12 October 1988. He attended University of Buffalo, graduating in 2011 with his bachelors. He also played college division three basketball and volleyball. He subsequently enlisted in the Air Force in 2012 and arrived at Lackland AFB, Texas, in January 2012 for basic training. Prior to his current assignment, he served as Conus Regional Maintenance Center Supervisor assigned to the Headquarters Airfield Flight Standards Agency. Sergeant Miles is the founder of enlistedairmanguide.com. He also served as a crisis response advocate for the local community as well.

Training NCOIC for Radar, Airfield, and Weather Systems. Manages sustainment and serviceability of 132 C2 weapon systems valued at $20M, enabling 251K annual operations throughout 19 sqs across 3 military and civilian airfields. Overseas training and development of 24 personnel, executes a $200K annual budget, and develops local policy for joint and allied partners to provide safety of flight to $7.2B in capital assets across 5 MAJCOMs.
